Sony-Ericsson Duet will Ends Soon

Duet of Sony and Ericsson in mobile phone company Sony Ericsson which has lasted for 10 years will soon be over. Sony made sure to buy 50% ownership of Ericsson, so Sony Ericsson is completely under the control of Sony.
Sony has agreed to buy Ericsson shares worth USD 1.5 billion. The transaction also includes a patent deal, in which Sony will get 5 sets of patents from Ericsson that is important in the manufacture of mobile phones.
The news that Sony will buy the full Sony Ericsson has been circulating fast some time ago. Some observers claim the deal makes sense because Sony wants to integrate the mobile phone division with mobile gaming devices and tablet computers.
“We will be able to more quickly offer a smartphone, laptop, tablet and television are connected to each other and open a new world of online entertainment. This acquisition makes sense for both Sony and Ericsson,” a statement from Chief Executive Sony, Howard Stringer.
Founded in 2001, Sony Ericsson at first made a promising start. Walkman phones and Cybershot series was warmly welcomed in many parts of the world. But lately, they are getting lag in the smartphone segment.
The full acquisition process of Sony on the Sony Ericsson expected to be completed in early 2012 after obtaining approval from the regulator. Ericsson will then be fully focused on the telecommunications business. The future handset of the company likely to be branded Sony.
Sony Ericsson Live, Android Gingerbread Combined Walkman

Sony Ericsson officially announced the arrival of Sony Ericsson Live, smartphone walkman with Android Gingerbread based operating system. By wearing the label ‘Walkman’, the handset is claimed to be superior in the music sector.
Sony Ericsson Live has a 3.2 inch HVGA screen with a resolution of 480 x 320. Have 1 GHz processor and 5-megapixel camera resolution. Users also are able to record 720p high definition video.
The handset has a walkman special button for accessing the music player. Music sector is given special attention, for example by the presence of Sony xLOUD technology to add audio output clarity.
There’s also a TrackID feature to keep track of the song. Sony Ericsson Live also provides access to the music service and video content on Sony’s Qriocity. However, the service is not available in all areas.
Sony Ericsson Live will be available starting fourth quarter of 2011 in some markets. The price has not been announced, but obviously more expensive than the W8, the first Walkman phone from Sony Ericsson.

Galaxy Xcover, Samsung’s Most Tough Android
