HP Pavilion G4-1129TX provided with the Intel Core i3-2330M and a larger hard disk from Compaq CQ43. HP is also adding a separate graphics card is Radeon HD 6470M integrated graphics coupled with Intel HD Graphics 3000.
Through AMD Dynamic Switchable Graphics technology, users can choose whether to use a faster Radeon or want more power efficient with Intel.
The vPro Technology on Intel Processor Make Users Can Controls Ultrabook from Remote
Mar 11th
Having previously only invested in Intel Xeon processors are devoted to the server only, now Intel began to insert the vPro on Ultrabook processor.
Consumer enthusiasm to Ultrabook make Intel’s glance to that market. But of course Intel is not the manufacturer of Ultrabook, Intel only produce processors for Ultrabook.
The pinned of vPro technology on Intel processors allows us to use Ultrabook remotely. This remote management is an effort that can be done by the user to set ultrabook although in a different space.
This solution is also important to keep the data contained in ultrabook when the device has changed hands. Hard drive can be set to off, so it can not operate.
Nvidia Tegra 3 Faster from Intel Core 2 Duo?
Dec 5th
Nvidia Tegra 3 chipset delivers outstanding performance for tablet PCs and mobile phones, even claimed to be faster if pitted with computer processor Intel Core 2 Duo. Is it true?
Nvidia Tegra 3 is a System on Chip (SoC) which means that inside it has embedded a processor, GPU, and memory controller for controlling the flow of data. From the architecture, this product is clearly superior to the Core 2 Duo lines.
This is demonstrated through a test trial performed by Nvidia. As a benchmark testing application used was CoreMark 1.0, to test how far the ability of Arithmetic Logic Unit (ALU) and Floating-Point Unit (FPU).
But unfortunately found some anomalies in the test. Nvidia is known using a different configuration, resulting in different numbers.
For example to test the Core2 T7200 Nvidia using the compiler version 3.4, while the Tegra 3 using the latest version 4.4. Also Nvidia allegedly also did some tweaks, so that the testing more optimal on their system.
Tests with these methods are considered unfair. Moreover, Nvidia Tegra 3 with a Core2 T7200 (dual-core processor 2.0 GHz with 4 MB cache) differ in architecture, and thus require different testing techniques.
If judging from the system works, Nvidia Tegra 3 is very promising. But about a better performance than the computer processor is still questionable.
Intel Core i7 3960X Speeds up to 5.2 GHz
Nov 20th
Intel’s fastest processor, Core i7 3960X is still can be driven faster. From the standard speed of 3.3 GHz, the processor can still be pushed up to 5.2 GHz.
This figure is obtained by a member of the kingpins overclock forum and quoted from Fudzilla. In these tests, the overclocker used liquid nitrogen cooling, GeForce GTX 580 and Corsair Dominator GT 16 GB.
Having driven up to 5.2 GHz computer managed to carve figures of X9609 in 3DMark 11 and 5505,274 in the Unigine Heaven benchmark. It was a fantastic figure.
The maximum speed obtained by the Core i7 3960X is not the fastest, previously overclocker named Andre had pushed AMD FX-8150 from the standard speed of 3.6 GHz to 8.58 GHz. But both methods claimed different.
To reach the 8.58 GHz, Andre had to ‘turn off’ a number of cores, of 8 cores which there are only 2 are activated. While Core i7 3960X, although only reached 5.2 GHz but the whole core has (6 cores, 12 threads) running simultaneously, thus producing more power.
Zenbook, ASUS Mainstay in Ultrabook Era
Oct 21st
Ultrabook era that echoed by Intel has ignited the computer vendor to release an ultrabook products. No exception Asus is trying to enter the competition field through Zenbook.
Zenbookâs first appearance was delivered directly by Asus CEO Jonney Shih in New York, United States. To be more special, the event opened with dance performances by Moon Water dance from the Taiwan Cloud Gate Dance Theatre.
Zenbook itself is claimed as a product that is able to create a balance between design elegance and strength in the performance of an ultrabook.
Jonney is said, there are four main principles that guide the Asus development team during the Zenbook design process. First, pure design. Zenbook claimed bath a work of art that blends with the technology.
The outer panel is silver-colored layer with a pattern of concentric circles that symbolize the circle of light refraction. With a thickness of 0.11 inch, equivalent to 3 mm in front and 0.35 inch (9mm) in the back, making Zenbook ultrabook said to be the thinnest on the market. More >
