Diaspora, social networking site which was mentioned as a serious challenger for Facebook has been getting released. Close to opening, the open source based site was trying to get closer to the developers of the software.

Founder of Diaspora, which is a four student from United States, has emphasized that the site will provide convenience in use and has a strict privacy policy.

They admitted Diaspora deliberately was born to give answers to the many criticisms that hit Facebook because of its features are considered to be ignoring the user’s privacy.

Quoted from the official blog Diaspora, the display and Diaspora icons have a white and gray color, almost similar to Facebook.
Software developers are given the opportunity to work on the application before the official launch, which it has not been disclosed for sure.
