Nintendo Officially Confirmed Nintendo Wii U Specifications

Nintendo finally confirmed the hardware specifications of their latest and most advanced game consoles, Nintendo Wii U.
Nintendo Wii U will be powered by processor from ‘the big blue’ IBM, the IBM PowerPC multi-core processor. But Nintendo has not mentioned the details of the number of cores and frequency speed. The amount of RAM memory is also not known.
Meanwhile, for Wii U graphics, Nintendo uses AMD’s Radeon graphics chip which uses the Radeon HD5000/6000 series and have the ability to play 1080p high definition video.
In the previous Wii series, Nintendo also uses AMD’s Radeon graphics chip that uses the code name “Hollywood”.
Both competitors of Nintendo Wii U, Sony PlayStation 4 and Microsoft Xbox 720 are also rumored to use AMD’s Radeon graphics chip.

HP Pavilion G4-1129TX, Cheap Notebook with AMD Switchable Dynamic Graphics Technology

HP Pavilion G4-1129TX is a notebook from HP with affordable price. The design is minimalist but still seem attractive. This notebook comes with a choice of gray and metallic red.
The inside of this notebook looks similar to the Compaq CQ43, So did a series of facilities available.
The cover of this notebook can be replaced with a panel SnapOn (external cover) which can be removable at will. SnapOn also is available separately at a price of $ 34 per unit.
HP Pavilion G4-1129TX provided with the Intel Core i3-2330M and a larger hard disk from Compaq CQ43. HP is also adding a separate graphics card is Radeon HD 6470M integrated graphics coupled with Intel HD Graphics 3000.
Through AMD Dynamic Switchable Graphics technology, users can choose whether to use a faster Radeon or want more power efficient with Intel.

If Intel launch the Ultrabook platform, AMD as eternal rivals did not remain silent with the launch of Ultrathin notebook platform. When the Financial Analyst Day, Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) featuring prototypes of Intel Ultrabook competitors, Ultrathin Notebook.
Ultrathin notebook will be powered by a quad-core processors and high-quality graphics with a thickness of only 18mm notebook with prices in the range of USD 600 – USD 800.
AMD demonstrated a prototype of Ultrathin notebook, powered by a quad-core APU (Accelerated Processing Unit) with the code name of the Trinity with 17W power.
As quoted from XbitLabs, the Ultrathin prototype developed from the results of cooperation with Compal AMD. “Design of a laptop with a thickness of 18mm of Compal, we believe this will be the Ultrathin notebook platform with a price range USD 600 – USD 800. You’ll really get the performance you need at competitive prices”, said Lisa Su, general manager of global business units in AMD.

AMD Bulldozer Ready to Conquer the Intel Core i7

AMD FX-8150 or commonly known as the Bulldozer officially launched. This processor not only runs at high speeds, but also the number of cores largest in its class.
There are two variants immediate AMD Bulldozer on the market, the FX-8150 and FX-8120 both are targeting the upper-class computer enthusiast as well as a fierce challenger to Intel Core i7 series.
AMD FX-8150, 3.6 GHz speed processor and core 8 is priced at USD 283-287 price range.
While a lower version, AMD FX-8120 sold starting price of USD 237. This processor also has 8 cores but run at lower speeds which are 3.1 GHz.
But for those who feel not satisfied with the speed offered, it said that the processor is able to be accelerated to play in the 8.4 Ghz. But this all can only be done by using a special liquid cooling system of course.

Overtake Nvidia, AMD Released Fastest Graphics Card

Some time ago, Nvidia GeForce GTX580M crowned as the fastest notebook graphics card on earth, but not long after, AMD released a product that managed to beat it prowess, the Radeon HD 6990M.
AMD Radeon HD 6990M has now been crowned as the fastest Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) that beat the Nvidia GeForce GTX580M with a total performance up to 25% better. At least, that is the results of testing conducted by AMD.
AMD Radeon HD 6990M is an upgraded version of the Radeon HD 6970M, which is also armed with several features like HD3D technology, Eyefinity multi-display technology, and DirectX 11.
This latest GPU is reinforced with 1120 units of stream processors, 56 texture units, 128 Z/Stencil units, 32 ROP, and memory capacity of 2GB 900MHz GDDR5. All of that is maximized with the data path width of 256-bits.
It is said that Dell Alienware M18x will be the first notebook to use this GPU in CrossFireX mode. Then followed by several brands such as Clevo and Eurocom.
