Samsung Galaxy S3 and Apple iPhone 4S is likely to have a new rival, Pantech Vega S5, Android phones are equipped with 720p HD screen and a camera with 13MP resolution ready to enliven the ‘super phone’ market.

Pantech is the second largest mobile phone maker after Samsung from South Korea that have been established since 1991.

This time, Pantech launches Vega S5 which is a rival of Samsung Galaxy S3 and Apple iPhone 4S.

Pantech Vega S5 is equipped with a screen size of 5 inches with 720p HD resolution or 1280×720 pixels with IPS technology (In-Plane Switch). At a glance the screen specifications the same with Galaxy S3, it’s just the size of Pantech Vega screen S5 is bigger.

As quoted from Slashgear, Pantech Vega S5 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 dual-core processor and has supported the 4G LTE (Long Term Evolution).

Pantech Vega S5 is equipped with a camera with a resolution of up to 13 megapixels and equipped with continuous autofocus while recording video. Pantech Vega S5 also features a Small Window that has features similar to Samsung Pop Up Play.

If Apple has a smart assistant named Siri, Samsung with S-Voice and LG with Quick Voice, the Pantech Vega S5 is not to be outdone by equipping themselves with the features of Smart Voice.

Pantech Vega S5 equipped with a large enough battery capacity, up to 2100 mAh which is claimed to last up to 11 hours talk time.

Pantech Vega S5 is currently only marketed in South Korea and there has been no official statement from Pantech to market outside of South Korea.
