Mozilla is developing a new mobile operating system called Firefox OS. With the support of several large telecommunications companies, Firefox OS will challenge the first exist mobile OS such as Android and iOS in the iPhone.

Mozilla declared operator Deutsche Telekom, Sprint, Smart, Telecom Italia, Telenor and Etisalat expressed support for the Firefox OS. ZTE and TCL mobile vendors plan to release a Firefox OS phones with Qualcomm Snapdragon processor in early 2013.

Support from operators and handset vendors are considered crucial for the new OS smartphone to market demand. Therefore, they will challenge the Android and iOS which currently dominates.

Not to mention the other OS with a smaller market share is still widely used. Like the BlackBerry OS, Windows Phone, and Bada from Samsung.
