After creating social networking named Google+ as competitor for Facebook, the virtual world giant is now rumored want to compete with a domain dot com (.Com) to make its own domain in dot google (.Google).

Google itself has been registered .Google to the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) to be a Top Level Domain (TLD).

Google was given time to 20 April to take care of the ownership rights of the domain name suffix. ICANN in the past year did allow companies or organizations to make their own domain.

The domain status is later the same as the domain that was first popular such as .Com, .Org, or .Net. Costs to create own domain is not cheap, around USD 185,000.
