Toshiba presents the surprise at the beginning of this year. At the International Consumer Electronic Show (CES) 2012, Toshiba showcased a tablet that claimed the thinnest in the world.

Excite X10, thus the name of the 10-inch screen tablet, only 7.7 mm in thickness and weighing about 500 grams. With a captivating design, magnesium alloy casing and gorilla-glass screen, the Toshiba tablet is expected to attract consumers.

Excite X10 equipped with dual-core processor 1.2 GHz, 2 Megapixel front camera, 5 Megapixel rear camera and 1GB of RAM. There is also a micro USB port, micro HDMI port, SD card slot and of course the audio jack.

Toshiba has not determined whether the tablets will use Android Honeycomb or Ice Cream Sandwich. But the Japanese company is hoping the tablets can be shipped with Android Ice Cream Sandwich.

Excite X10 will go on sale in the first quarter of 2012 at a price range starting from USD 529.99 for the 16GB capacity of up to USD 599.99 for the 32GB version.
