Yahoo Turn off 10 Mobile Applications

A number of mobile applications from Yahoo will no longer be available. As the pace of reform under the leadership of new CEO Scott Thompson, Yahoo decided to shut down 10 mobile applications.
As quoted by Cellular-news, this Yahoo decision to respond mobile market which is changing very fast. “Our plan is to continue to advance, innovate and regularly measure and criticize what should and should not be done, so we can create space for a great new product,” wrote Yahoo on their official blog.
However, Yahoo said the company remains committed to approaching ‘mobile first’ and promised to develop new services in the future.

Nintendo Will Launch New Generation of Wii U This Year

The latest series of Nintendo Wii U will soon be available in late 2012. This was announced by Nintendo while ago.
Multinational company which headquartered in Kyoto is said that the step was taken because of disappointing sales figures. The decline was expected due to the Wii U competition with a smart phone like the iPhone.
Whereas to 3DS console, has been supported by well-known franchises like Super Mario 3D Land, but it was not able to boost sales in the last quarter of last year.
Nintendo has actually cut their sales targets, from 12 million to 10 million devices for the Wii and 14 million from the original target of 16 million for 3DS.
According to Nintendo, for this latest Wii U console later will be a two times specification higher than the Xbox 360 and the tablet-style controller with a built-in screen. Official details will be released in May.
But despite a significant decline and unable to compete with the iPhone, Shigeo Sugawara, senior investment manager of Sompo Japan Nipponkoa Asset Management said that it was too early to say the console era has ended,
“To say it tends to over-statement, but the game-based social networks and the Internet is being grown, where it is strong enough to invade Nintendo”.
