LG Introduces 4G Android Phone
Apple’s Retinal Display soon got tight rival on this holiday season. The rival comes from LG that has just introduced a new Android phone with 4G LTE connectivity and display that claims to be very impressive.
‘NOVA’, as LG calls the technology on display in the cell phone, supporting low-end HD resolutions of 720p or 1280×720 pixels. Has 4.5-inch size, this IPS LCD screen has a 16:9 aspect ratio and more pixels per inch compared to retinal display embedded in the iPhone 4 and 4S.
With this technology, on top of a 4.5-inch size, the LG will accommodate 329ppi display. While Apple’s screen, with a 3.5-inch size accommodate 326ppi.
Unfortunately, consumers who are tempted to have it should resist the temptation, because the phone is currently only released in South Korea. LG does not mention the possibility of this phone will explore another country.
“LG Optimus LTE is the first smartphone in Korea that offer HD content with a very clear and clean through 4G networks,” said Dr. Jong-seok Park, President and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications.
He added that LG aim is to become a leader in the realm of LTE devices by offering the best products in its class, based on skills and LTE patents they have.
